Nigerian gospel artiste, Sola Allyson dropped a shocking yet factual figure on her record sales, which according to her is over 60 million.
This information was dropped on the 23rd of November at ‘An Evening With Sola Allyson’ in Terra Kulture organized by Boomplay when she was asked about the marketability of the gospel genre in Nigeria in comparison with Mainstream music. Answering this question, the gospel artiste said;
My albums have sold more than 60 million copies … let me not be humble again, let me be proud now. My albums have sold more than 60 Million but because this is Nigeria, you’re not seeing it on my body, I know, so don’t look at me like that. This is Nigeria, this is Africa. If I were in a more organized structure, I’ll know what I’ll be by now.
She also revealed that she is an A-list artiste in the Nigerian music industry but lack of structure, as earlier, stated hasn’t given her the ratings she deserves.
Sola Allyson is undoubtedly one of the Nigerian gospel artistes amassing as much music streams as most artistes doing mainstream music.
